How Pulse Unlock Handles Your Information
This policy explains what Pulse Unlock collects when you visit pulseunlock.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can ask us to delete it. We have written it in plain language rather than legalese.
1. Scope of this policy
This policy covers the Pulse Unlock marketing website at pulseunlock.com and the pages linked from it, including our booking and intake pages. Pulse Unlock operates the site and decides how the information described here is handled.
Work we perform under a signed client agreement is governed by that agreement, not by this policy. If we process data belonging to your customers while building a system for you, the contract between us sets those terms.
2. Information collected automatically
Our website collects some information the moment you load a page, without you typing anything.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and move through the site. It records your approximate location, device and browser type, the pages you open, how long you stay, and the site or search that sent you. Measurement is linked across pulseunlock.com, ai.pulseunlock.com, and intake.pulseunlock.com so that one visit reads as one visit rather than three.
Business identification
Our home page runs a third-party script that attempts to identify the organization a visitor is browsing from, using the network address and related signals. We use this to see which companies are researching us so our follow-up is relevant. The service infers a business, not a named individual, and it is not always accurate. You can block it with any standard tracker-blocking browser extension, and the rest of the site works normally without it.
3. Information you give us
You choose whether to give us anything at all. Browsing the site requires nothing.
- Booking a consultation. Our intake form asks for your name, email address, phone number, company, and a description of your business and what you are trying to fix. You control how much detail you put in that description.
- Emailing us. Anything you send to hello@pulseunlock.com reaches our mailbox and stays there, including your address and message.
Please do not send us passwords, financial account numbers, government identification numbers, health information, or anything else sensitive through the intake form or by email. We do not need it and we do not want to hold it.
4. Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Ours are used for analytics, so we can tell a returning visitor from a new one and measure which pages do their job. We do not run advertising or retargeting cookies on this site.
Your browser can block or delete cookies through its settings. Google also publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across every site that uses it, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking these will not break the site.
5. How we use the information
- Answering your question and preparing for a consultation you booked
- Understanding which pages, services, and traffic sources actually produce enquiries
- Fixing errors and improving how the site performs
- Sending you material you asked us to send
- Meeting our legal and accounting obligations
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it.
We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers who run parts of our operation on our behalf, including our analytics provider, our scheduling and intake platform, our email provider, and our website host. They may only use it to deliver that service to us.
- Professional advisers such as our accountant or lawyer, where they need it to advise us.
- Legal requirement, where a valid legal process compels disclosure or where we need it to protect our rights or someone's safety.
- A business transfer, if Pulse Unlock is ever sold or merged, in which case the information moves with the business and this policy continues to apply until it is replaced.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@pulseunlock.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, so that nobody else can request your information.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to object to certain processing and the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Exercising any of these rights costs nothing and we will not treat you differently for it.
You can stop marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by replying and asking.
8. How long we keep it
Enquiry and client correspondence stays with us for as long as we are working together and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can honor warranties, answer follow-up questions, and meet tax and accounting requirements. Analytics records are kept on our provider's standard retention schedule. When information no longer serves a purpose, we delete it or strip it of anything that identifies you.
9. Security
We use encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable providers to protect what we hold. No website or company can promise perfect security, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Our providers store information on servers in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred there.
10. Children
This site sells business services and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will make that clear rather than burying it.
12. Contact us
Questions about this policy, or a request about your information, go to hello@pulseunlock.com. A person reads that inbox.
